Argentinian occult doom trio Mephistofeles will perform in Lisbon on 16 November 2025, taking the stage at RCA Club as part of their extensive UK and European tour. The event is presented by Garboyl Lives, Owner and Founder of SonicBlast Fest, whose continued work has been pivotal in bringing influential international underground acts to Portugal.
Widely regarded as one of South America’s most uncompromising forces in the doom and stoner scene, Mephistofeles have built a dedicated cult following through their hypnotic distortion, sleazy riffs and unmistakably dark psychedelic atmosphere. Their international profile rose significantly after Electric Wizard’s Jus Oborn publicly praised I’m Heroin, citing it as one of his personal favourite releases.
The upcoming Lisbon date follows the worldwide reissue of the band’s first three albums — Whore, I’m Heroin and Satan Sex Ceremonies — through the European label Heavy Psych Sounds Records, a move that marks a new chapter for the group. With the addition of drummer Luca Frizza, Mephistofeles enter this phase revitalised and determined to expand their presence across European stages.
The performance at RCA Club offers Portuguese audiences a rare opportunity to experience the band’s raw intensity in a close and intimate setting. It also reflects the ongoing curatorial vision of Garboyl Lives, whose work with SonicBlast Fest and other events has played a central role in strengthening Portugal’s stoner, doom, and psychedelic music landscape.
Tickets will be available through the usual outlets.
