The swedish band Below premiered “1000 Broken Bones” track from upcoming album. “Upon a Pale Horse” album will be released on May 19th via Metal Blade Records.
Below was formed in Nyköping (Sweden) back in 2011. They are by default a doom metal band, but they also explore the more epic, heavy and dark side of the style. Their latest release, and debut full length album, “Across the Dark River” was released in 2014 via Metal Blade Records and was recorded at Andy LaRocque’s (King Diamond) Sonic Train Studios.
After this, came a three-year hiatus in terms of album releases. The band started teasing the fans with details and tracks from the upcoming album “Upon a Pale Horse”. The album was recorded at Deep Blue Studios in their home town Nyköping. Check what the band states at their webpage regarding the upcoming release:
“While staying true to the core of the music that is Below (heavy riffs, haunting melodies and huge atmospheres), Upon A Pale Horse also offers a broader variety to the songs, with the band’s slowest song to-date, as well as the fastest, the shortest, and the longest. Additionally, the album features several guest appearances, such as backing vocals by Sorcerer’s Anders Engberg and a speech by Alan Averill of Primordial.”
