Cinematic Black Metal Pioneers BlackEternal are back with a new single and it’s something to be reckoned with!
It’s not very often that you feel like you are watching a motion picture when listening to a black metal album. In fact, it’s something that happens very rarely. Except of course, if you’re listening to BlackEternal.
By many, their music and distinct sound have been described as listening to an audiobook infused with Symphonic Black Metal as their concept albums are rich with stories, settings, plot lines and well-written characters played by professional actors.
Since 2016, this has very much been the calling card for BlackEternal as even their earlier releases stay true to this very unique style.
Their upcoming album: “Darkness Embrace 2: The Oakenford Chronicles” takes place one year after the events of their previous record “Darkness Embrace” and in typical BlackEternal fashion, it very much plays
like a sequel to a movie. It continues the story of the demonic hauntings from the previous album but this time told from a different perspective and setting. Yet, it still manages to be chilling and very horror-inducing. Both new singles “Pavor Nocturnus” and “Halls of Madness” paint this picture very well by creating a dark and ominous scenario which inspires tension, fear, and panic.
Much like any good sequel, it also features a returning cast who brilliantly step back into the roles they played in the previous entry.
This sets the stage nicely for the full album set for release coming January. The newest tracks prove to be very powerful in that this is the band’s best work to date. Any metal music fan who has an affinity for symphonies, Horror, the supernatural and paranormal topics, should absolutely check out BlackEternal’s new singles off their upcoming album “The Oakenford Chronicles” as well as any of their previous works.
