The legendary American band Coven will perform for the first time in Portugal and in an exclusive concert at the 7th edition of the Woodrock Festival.
Coven, led by Jinx Dawson, is a cult band, turned to the occult even before bands like Black Sabbath emerged, making them pioneers in the theme and also in much of what was to come.
They were the first to use “sign of the horns” in the musical context, a gesture proliferated to all corners of the world, and visible nowadays in any concert of rock or metal, whose origin is erroneously attributed to Ronnie James Dio.
The band’s concert at Quiaios Beach is part of the 50th anniversary European tour of their first album, “Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls.”
Coven is the 7th confirmation, joining names like Linda Martini, the Church of The Cosmic Skull, Galo Cant’às Duas, The Quartet Of Woah!, Santo Rostro (Esp) and Greengo, leaving still to reveal another 7 Portuguese and international names.
