Crushing the North Tour – May 16 at Nosturi, Helsinki

Vader and Decapitated deal death upon Finland! Their the “Crushing the north” Tour will be in Helsinki on May 16th. They will be accompanied by Thy Disease, Thrashred and Nox Vorago.

Polish death metal commanders VADER are returning to Finland this May with brothers-in-arms Decapitated and Thy Disease, for three nights of merciless onslaught.

Opening up the evening will be the Russian newcomers Thrashred. As their name gives away they play thrashmetal. Although they don’t have many publications yet , they have been able to perform live in the eastern Europe front, warming up for Anthrax and Slayer to name a few.

Nox Vorago from Gothenburg, Sweden, will bring a more Atmospheric Death and Black Metal approach to the evening. Formed already in 2006 their first full-length “Obsidian Stonemirrors”, recorded and mixed at Grand Recording Studio, was only released in 2012. They will for sure use this event opportunity to present their recently released full-length “Al Chem”, released independently on the 26th February 2017.

Touring alongside Vader and Decapitated, completing the Polish trio, is Thy Disease from Krakow. Which offer an invigorating injection of industrial elements into their death metal. Their latest release was “Costumes of Technocracy” in 2014 via Mystic Production.

The titanic force of Vader will descend upon Finland for their first club gigs since 2008! Having started their career in 1983 – the same year as other death metal pioneers such as Death and Possessed – Vader has been a consistent and influential part of extreme metal history, churning out numerous classics and propagating their message of war with unwavering determination. Late 2016 saw the crushing release of their 13th full-length “The Empire”.

Despite being active since 1996 and actively touring, the legendary Decapitated have somehow managed thus far to elude Finnish territory. Formed in Krosno, Decapitated already started blowing minds with their 2000 debut “Winds of Creation”, boasted with youthful speed, ferocity and masterful technical proficiency. Since then, these shredders have taken tech death to a far more personal and innovative place, incorporating groove, inherent melodicism and tormented emotion. Their forthcoming album, “Anticult”, is to be released on July 7th via Nuclear Blast.

Despite being a weekday the aforementioned bands should be more than enough reasons to spend the evening at Nosturi venue in Helsinki.
