Italy’s Code666 is now just days from officially releasing Ia Pazuzu (The Abyss Of The Shadows), the third full-length album from Swedish industrial black metal architects, DIABOLICUM, and another phase of the shock campaign surrounding its release comes to fruition today as Cvlt Nation unleashes an early stream of the entire opus. Standing among the prime instigators of the industrial black metal scene, DIABOLICUM boasts a storied lineage of personnel/directional shifts, and an impressive discography with prior albums on Napalm Records and Code666 in addition to split releases with Watain and Angst. Now featuring the ill-omened vocal tidings of Shining’s Niklas Kvarforth, the band’s third album, Ia Pazuzu (The Abyss Of The Shadows), ends a fourteen-year hiatus in releases from this outfit. With nine traumatic hymns of disease, distress and psychological torment, the new record documents a torrent of plagues mirroring the world in which we dwell, including guest contributions from Malfeitor Fabban (Aborym) and Vargher (Naglfar, Bewitched, Ancient Wisdom), and artwork by Maxime Taccardi.
