The festival’s organizers have just confirmed the participation of KAMELOT as headliners for the 2024 edition. This legendary American band will join the Finnish AMORPHIS at the top of the lineup, with AMORPHIS headlining the final day on August 25th.
The highly anticipated 2024 edition of the MILAGRE METALEIRO OPEN AIR will also feature performances by Finnish KORPIKLAANI, Greek ROTTING CHRIST, German METALIUM, AXXIS, FREEDOM CALL, and KISSIN’ DYNAMITE, Italian STORMLORD and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, Icelandic SKÁLMÖLD, British AVENGER, Dutch VANAHEIM, Spanish TIERRA SANTA and BLASPHEMIUM, Brazilian THE TROOPS OF DOOM, as well as Portuguese acts SERRABULHO and SPEEDEMON.
KAMELOT, after a modest start in the late 1990s, underwent a significant transformation at the turn of the millennium. Today, they are frequently hailed as “one of the most exciting projects” within their genre. Known for their dramatic and theatrical style, KAMELOT has skillfully navigated the challenges of power metal, delivering their message with elegance and restraint, avoiding excessive dramatism.
Moreover, KAMELOT consistently challenges the conventions of power metal with each new album, maintaining a refined taste in a genre often dominated by themes of swords and dragons, which sets them apart from their peers. Their relentless drive to innovate, coupled with an extraordinary inner strength, has been key to their enduring success. More than two decades after their early beginnings, KAMELOT remains as relevant as they were during their creative peak.
The MILAGRE METALEIRO OPEN AIR festival will take place from August 23rd to 25th in Pindelo dos Milagres, São Pedro do Sul.
In 2023, the MILAGRE METALEIRO OPEN AIR, headlined by CRADLE OF FILTH, DARK TRANQUILLITY, MOONSPELL, and THERION, firmly established itself as a rapidly expanding underground event. The increased demand for tickets led the organizers to secure a new venue, with the festival being held for the first time at the Pindelo dos Milagres Industrial Park.
