MOONSPELL are back in Lisbon for two exclusive concerts on June 18th and 19th at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo which reopens its doors in this long-awaited return to concerts in a new space on Av. Marechal Gomes da Costa .
The first show that takes place on June 18 is dedicated to IRRELIGIOUS , MOONSPELL’s second album, initially released by Century Media in July 1996.
It is considered by many the most enigmatic work of the band that integrates some of their greatest classics, present in practically all their live performances, such as ” Opium “, ” Full Moon Madness “, among others.
In September 2016, in celebration of 20 years of IRRELIGIOUS , MOONSPELL released a special reissue of this album. Now, at the age of 25, they take to the stage at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo to interpret the album in its entirety , celebrating this anniversary with a show created in detail to honor this edition.
On June 19, MOONSPELL will present the latest HERMITAGE .
Published on February 26th, HERMITAGE occupied the 1st place in the national top of record sales for three consecutive weeks, taking Heavy Metal to the top of sales in Portugal. Recorded and mixed by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Ghost) at Orgone studios, in England, this album has also been a sales phenomenon in territories other than Portugal, integrating numerous tops in countries such as Finland, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, United States and Canada.
“ We all took a big fall from the pandemic situation. It’s been a challenge to keep the band together and the fans motivated. Our legs have been crushed, but we’re standing and we want to walk alongside our fans again. just the amazing 25th anniversary of one of our landmark albums (Irreligious), but finally we’ll also have the opportunity to reveal the absolute and very powerful allure of the Hermitage album songs on stage. Physical tickets for these concerts are available at the usual venues.
The physical capacity of these concerts is limited to 300 seats per date.
As has happened in the past, these concerts will also be live streamed around the world through the Munin.Live platform.
