On the 27th and 28th of August, the “Winds and woods meet Metal” festival took place in Leipzig. It was two days dedicated to metal music – with an emphasis on folk metal on the first day, and symphonic metal on the second. The event occurred in the mythical Hellraiser venue, a renowned place in Leipzig that has hosted some of the most prestigious Metal bands in the world.
On Friday, August 27th, Antyra, Cruadalach, Ally the Fiddle, Munarheim and Dalriada took the stage.
On the following day, Saturday, August 28th, Dtorn, Crusade of Bards, Conspiria, Beneath My Sins, Dream Ocean and Molllust took the stage.
As we can see, Winds and Wood has presented us with a high-quality and international line up. A correspondent of ours was present at the event. As such, we leave you with some photos of the bands that played at this event. Overall, everything went very well (despite a small, but understandable delay on the first day) and it was an extremely enjoyable return to some pre-pandemic normalcy.
We have to congratulate the festival organizers for their commitment and dedication to providing the public with memorable concerts.
