The month of August comes to an end with another brutal event in Portugal: ADM Metal Fest.

All preparations in the village of Andam, in the parish of Porto de Mós, are now finalised to receive the first edition of  the ADM Metal Fest.

#Day 1

Opening this festival we will have TRI-REX, a Portuguese cover band formed by the guitarist of Fred Noel and Moonspell’s bass player Aires, which also play together in Malevolence. Next bands in the lineup are the Portuguese symphonic metal band Secret Chord and oldschool heavy metal Midnight Priest, both originally from Coimbra city. The latest one known for some ingenious melodies and songs theme approaching of the occult.

Hardcore act Grankapo will follow, to get everyone heated up with their message full of hate. This band will combine well with the groove and intensity that Switchtense usually presents. This Portuguese band originally from Moita released their latest album “Flesh & Bones” in April 2016. These band will certainly challenge the crowd to mosh and raise some dust in the festival area.

Headlining the first day will be the Portuguese folk metal band Gwydion. They recently returned from a 3 year hiatus to play in Moita Metal Fest 2017. The band presents two new warriors: Pedro Dias on vocal duties and André Cadente on drums. A reinvigorated band, full of energy is expected.

#Day 2

The local band Subconscious Terror opens the second day of the festival playing their own brand of Oldschool Death Metal. They will be followed by the punk bands Hermosa Beach and 74. Next in the lineup you will listen to the alternative rock bands Fuzzil and Anarchy Machine. The Portuguese melodic power metal band Waterland is scheduled next. This band from Barcelos released their fourth album “Signs of Freedom” last March.

Portuguese band Shadowmare, whose name is still unknown to most, are a band from Lagoa who play melodic thrash/death metal with a very solid technique and precision. They will present their EP “From Hell To The Future”, which was released in early 2016.

Changing to a slightly different musical genre and approaching the sunset time, the Portuguese band Humanart will hit the stage with their melodic black metal tunes.

Towards the end of the evening, Prayers of Sanity, a thrash metal band from Lagos, will bring their last April released album “Face of the Unknown”. The brutality of their sound will certainly lift the mood for the following thrash band Primal Attack who is currently promoting their last February release “Heartless Oppressor”.

The day will end with the most brutal musical genre by Holocausto Canibal and Grog. In both performances the brutal death metal and grindcore will prevail. Holocausto Canibal are currently presenting their latest release “Catalépsia Necrótica: Gonorreia Visceral Reanimada”. This is a re-recording of both the first demo and their debut album, released on April 28th by No Humano Records. The Portuguese band Grog doesn’t need much introduction for the national metalhead. With more than 25 years of existence and destruction, they will bring their monstrous latest release “Ablutionary Rituals”.

On both festival days, DJ Set Valholl will be in charge of the afterparty in the festival area.
