At the end of 2025, GAEREA return to Portuguese stages for two headline shows in Porto and Lisbon. After their strong appearance at this year’s Evil Live Festival, these dates offer fans a focused opportunity to see the band in a venue setting.
The concerts take place on 4 December at Hard Club, in Porto, and on 5 December at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, in Lisbon. Both venues are well known to the Portuguese heavy music audience and provide the right conditions for the kind of atmospheric and visually driven show GAEREA usually present.

On stage, the band are expected to revisit material from across their discography. Since 2016, they have developed a sound that combines black metal with a marked emotional and visual identity. Records such as Unsettling Whispers, Limbo, Mirage and the more recent Coma have established their presence in the international extreme music circuit. Tracks like “Salve”, “Mantle” or “Arson” show their focus on atmosphere, repetition and tension, elements that tend to gain even more weight in a live context.
Their recent performance at Evil Live Festival helps frame expectations for these dates. The show was noted for its cohesion, the clarity of the band’s sonic identity and the way they built a dense, almost suffocating environment without losing control of dynamics. The visual presentation, based on anonymity and a minimal but effective use of light, contributed to that impact. These two headline concerts are likely to follow the same line: a concentrated, uninterrupted performance in which there is little room for casual interaction, and where the priority is the overall experience.
For both nights, GAEREA will be joined by APOTHEUS. The group from Paços de Ferreira works in a different field, closer to progressive metal, but shares the same care for structure and narrative. Their 2023 album Ergo Atlas is a conceptual work that balances weight and melody. In a live setting, this approach can serve as a gradual entry point into the night, preparing the audience with a set that values build-up and detail.
The schedule for both cities is straightforward. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the shows start at 9:00 p.m. Tickets cost €27 and go on sale on Monday, 30 June, through primeartists.eu and the usual outlets.
For those who have followed GAEREA’s path in recent years, these concerts offer a chance to see the band in a more controlled environment than the festival format. For anyone who discovered them at Evil Live Festival, they are an opportunity to confirm first impressions and to see how the group adapts its material to a full headline set in venues that are already familiar to the Portuguese heavy scene.
