Preview: Urfaust & TotalSelfHatred in Helsinki

Next Friday, 17th of February 2017, Helsinki will welcome again URFAUST. Their last appearance in the country was in 2014 at Steelfest Festival and their return has been highly awaited. They will headline the event relying in TOTALSELFHATRED as main support band, TELOCH and KYY. The event will take place at Virgin Oil Co. venue, located in the heart of Helsinki.

KYY, the opening act of the evening, is a new Finnish band from Lahti. Formed in 2013 they took their time to perfect their debut album “Beyond Flesh – Beyond Matter – Beyond Death“, that was released last winter via Saturnal Records.

TELOCH, another Finnish band (Jyväskylä), that initiated their career in 2007 and with their two full length albums have been gathering a respectable amount of followers. They are currently introducing their latest album “Thus Darkness Spake” released last spring via their current label Saturnal Records.

URFAUST is an atmospheric Black Metal band from the Netherlands created in 2003. During their long career they released 4 full length albums, several compilations, singles and split albums. They are indeed a renowned band in the scene and expected to attract a huge audience to this event. Their latest effort “Empty Space Meditation” was released last fall under Ván Records and the band is currently on the road introducing it to the fans.

TOTALSELFHATRED is a Finnish band (Helsinki) that started their career already in 2005 but due to several problems, only managed to release two full length albums. Their latest effort was released already in 2011 entitled “Apocalypse in Your Heart” via their current label Osmose Productions. With a well established reputation in the Finnish Black Metal scene their performance doesn’t disappoint and will surely close the evening in high note.

Venue doors are opened at 21h and DJ Suuret Muinaiset will entertain you before, in between, and after the bands performance.
