The historic city in the heart of Alentejo is preparing to host the sixth edition of Évora Metal Fest, on the 3rd and 4th of March, at the municipal swiming pool of Évora.
The legendary controversial black metal band Filii Nigrantium Infernalium and the owners of more extreme sonorities Holocausto Canibal, are the two of the greates national names featured on Évora Metal Fest’s billing. You can also count with two international thrash metal bands, the german Contradiction and the spanish Crisix headlining the festival. To the Alentejo lands also arrive doom/death metal group Process of Guilt, and other portuguese names like Prayers of Sanity, Weels Valley, Stone Dead, Awaiting the Vultures, Ghold, Névoa, My Master the Sun and Thraswall.
With a touch for valuing the culture, you’ll be able to find an artistic exhibition conducted by a local artist Pedro de La Vega, which will be featured during both days of the event. On the second day, the documentary “A Um Passo da Loucura – Punk em Portugal 78-88” by Hugo Conim and Miguel Newton, will be exhibited.
The camping is free, and the festival has improved conditions, as well as the restaurant area and merchants. But that is not all, you can also prepare the bathing suits, while holding the festival bracelet you can enjoy free of charge the munincipal swimming pools.
