The Teutonic heavy metal force Accept surely doesn’t require much introductions. At this point of their career, listeners already know what they’re capable of, and what to expect from them. Their new album “The Rise of Chaos” is somehow a concept album, covering their point of view of the modern times we live in. The album comes with a serious warning about the worrying future, and how we should play our part while we have still a chance to do so. Songs like “Die by the Sword”, “Hole in the Head”, “The Rise of Chaos”, “Koolaid”, “No Regrets”, “Analog Man” (this one is really interesting), and “What’s Done Is Done”, are good examples of the strong album message. They all include subliminal lyrics that help the songs going further.
Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy Sneap. Once again he did a great job with the guitars of Wolf Hoffmann and Uwe Lulis, as also with the voice of Mark Tornillo. This album is a classic heavy metal record with good riffs and having that good old fashion pace in the rhythm. Maybe due the album concept, after we listen to it a few times, the listener might get the feeling that lacks an anthem.
Despite having nothing innovating, it’s still a record worth discovering. Although, we have to bear in mind that Accept are a force not be taken lightly, and still are the main foundations of this dear musical genre.
