The first album of Exit Eden, “Rhapsodies in Black” is a record of pop covers, in symphonic metal form. It is interpreted by four talented female singers, that defied borders, took a risk, and present to us this exotic and kind of tainting result of their work.

Featuring Amanda Somerville (Avantasia, Kiske/Somerville, Trillium), Clémentine Delauney (Whyzdom, Serenity, Visions Of Atlantis), Marina La Torraca (Phantom Elite) and Anna Brunner on the voices, this Super Girls quartet hooks the listener to their angelic voices, combined perfectly with songs like “A Question of Time” (Depeche Mode cover), “Unfaithful” (Rihanna cover), “Impossible” (Shontelle cover), “Frozen” (Madonna cover), “Heaven” (Bryan Adams cover), Paparazzi (Lady Gaga cover), and Fade to Grey (Visage cover) just to name a few.

After the listener hear these songs, they will never sound the same, as they actually catch the melody of the originals, and due to the arrangements with guitars and orchestra, they reach a whole new level of intensity. Definitely a must listen to all the symphonic metal fans, since most of them know for sure these voices, and for the others that want to try something different. In all, this work comes across as an interesting proposal of a band, which at this point, we don’t know if it’s a project, or something to stay for years to come. What we can say after listening to this, is that temptation never sounded so bittersweet.
