Seems like bands with that Joy Division basis and 80’s old town club flavor are getting the attention of record labels again.

What can we find specifically in Publicist UK and on their first album “Forgive Yourself”? The same old form with a better guitar production, a bit more dark and deeper voice, and the time machine feeling that we are been carried away into a void we don’t know where it leads the listener. This record is for dancing, also to lay in the bed or something else as you’ll hear in songs like “Cowards”, “Slow Dancing To This Bitter Earth”, “Levitate the Pentagon”, “Blood Relative”, and the rebellious “I Wish You’d Never Gone to School”. “Telegraphing” is also one of those dream making songs that more or less, every album on this genre has.

It’s a nice record and a good start for them. Let’s see what happens in the future.

6/10
