The master of horror movies and one of the most eccentric live performers Rob Zombie returns after almost 3 years since the last release with “The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser”. Fancy title? Yes it is, something that only a mind like Rob could get from the other side and serve to us in a radioactive skull of decibels. We wish after listening to the record that the songs could be as fancy as the album title.
Produced by Zeuss, this 31 minute release that looks more like an EP, was recorded and mixed at Goathouse Studios, and present to us a bunch of very short songs, like if it was a fantastic sci-fi weird tale that takes place in a universe far away from here, where ghouls, UFO’s, and other creatures alike, get flushed into a crazy plot of punk riffs, some movie trenches, and the rest is for the listener to imagine. Imagination or inspiration should be something that the listener might as well think that lacks after finish listening to the record, even after some rotations.
Songs like “Well, Everybody’s Fucking in a U.F.O.”, “The Hideous Exhibitions of a Dedicated Gore Whore”, “In the Age of the Consecrated Vampire We All Get High”, “In the Bone Pile”, and “Get Your Boots On! That’s the End of Rock and Roll”, might save a record that could had more songs in it, but also better worked, or we wouldn’t be talking about someone like Rob Zombie and his talented band, after a not so enthusiastic record beginning. Rock Bottom? Cherie pie? Listen to it and see for yourself, but don’t expect to get a sweat scare asking for blood and tears, as previous albums.
