The leader of punk band The Exploited remains hospitalized in Portugal after suffering a heart attack during a concert at República da Música in the Alvalade quarter, Lisbon, and it is not known when he will be discharged from the medical facility.
The Scottish singer who is 57 years old, was transferred from São José to Santa Marta, a hospital specialized in heart diseases. Wattie Buchan , who fell ill during the concert, a week ago, has written a message of thanks to the fans and to the medical staff of the hospital and will be discharged in the coming days .
The author of “Sex and Violence” is one of the pioneers of street punk and still wears a red crest, which has become a hallmark of punks. The band, born in the late 70s, had concerts scheduled for Spain, France and Belgium which have already been canceled .
