After a very convincing performance at VOA 2017 past August, Epica will be returning to Portugal before the end of the year.
This time, the band comes to perform as headlining act on a double date, where the legion of followers will be able to see Simone Simons and Co more closely, on the stages of Sala Tejo (Altice Arena) and Hard Club, on the 21st and 22nd of November, in Lisbon and Porto respectively.
As special guests, the Dutch will be joined by the enormous talent of Vuur, led by the iconic figure of Anneke Van Giersbergen, who carry in their luggage the long-awaited debut “In This Moment We Are Free – Cities” and with ethnicity exploration of Tunisian Myrath, who launched the explosive “Legacy / ميراث” last year and received tremendous praise from the press.

About the bands
Still unknown to most heavy music fans, Vuur is the latest adventure by Anneke Van Giersbergen, the charming and seductive former vocalist of the legendary The Gathering. Having abandoned the authors of such remarkable titles as “Mandylion” or “Nightime Birds” and embarking on a successful solo career, which saw her explore other genres closer to pop, the talented Dutch artist now rehearses a return to heavier and more progressive music.
Myrath come from Ez-Zahra in the improbable Tunisia. The project took shape in 2006 and for the next 10 years it has relied on albums such as “Desert Call”, “Tales of the Sands” or the latest “Legacy / ميراث” to establish a reputation as one of the most exotic and challenging acts that extreme music has to offer nowadays.
