SWR is scheduled for 27-29 April 2018 at Barroselas, northwest Portugal.
SWR Barroselas Metalfest is one of the oldest European festivals of extreme music and it returns for its 21st edition, in 2018.
The first round of announcements includes 15 selected names from a wide variety of styles: Suffocation, the leaders of american Death Metal; the norwegian Carpathian Forest and their caustic Black Metal; the mighty return of the swedes Nifelheim; the visceral Grind of the german Cock and Ball Torture; Filii Nigrantium Infernalium and Process of Guilt representing the portuguese armada; Evil Invaders from Belgium, Interment from Sweden, Sourvein from USA, Dyscarnate from UK, Hexis from Denmark, Nekromantheon from Norway, Teethgrinder from Holland, Andralls from Brazil and Départe from Australia.
The remaining 35 bands that will complete the bill and invade the three stages of the festival during the most intense days of the year will be announced soon.
