About the band
Machine Head were formed in California in 1991 by singer and guitarist Robb Flynn and former bassist Adam Duce. Over the years they have released 9 studio albums to date and produced a few well known metal anthems such as “Davidian”, “Bulldozer”, “Aesthetics of Hate” and others. The newly released album “Catharsis” continues the evolution of the band’s sound which has been gradually happening starting with the album The Blackening, which was considered by Metal Hammer to be the album of the decade, and distances them further from their roots in nu metal bringing them closer to a more mature sound.
