On 1 February 2026, Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios will host one of the most anticipated symphonic metal events of the year, as Epica and Amaranthe join forces for the Arcane Dimensions Tour.
Set to begin in January 2026, the European tour will span 26 cities across 13 countries, marking a major co-headlining run for two of the most influential names in contemporary metal. The Lisbon date promises a night that bridges symphonic grandeur and modern metal energy, with rotating setlists and large-scale production.
For Epica, the Arcane Dimensions Tour represents the first major European outing in support of their upcoming studio album Aspiral, scheduled for release on 11 April. Described by the band as a record focused on storytelling, scale, and timeless melodies, the album follows 2021’s widely acclaimed Omega. Building on the momentum of their immersive The Symphonic Synergy experiences and their high-profile 2023 tour with Metallica, Simone Simons and her bandmates promise a renewed stage production that reflects Epica’s standing as one of the genre’s most commanding live acts.
Epica Amaranthe Lisbon
Sharing the stage are Sweden’s Amaranthe, a band that has steadily redefined modern metal since their formation in 2008. Known for blending melodic metal, electronic elements, and instantly memorable hooks, the group arrives in Lisbon following the release of The Catalyst, an album that further solidified their identity. With over one billion streams and half a million records sold worldwide, Amaranthe continue to prove their broad appeal and relevance within the global metal scene.
Opening the night will be Charlotte Wessels’ The Obsession. The former Delain vocalist recently released her debut solo album, The Obsession, via Napalm Records, marking a new creative chapter defined by emotional depth and atmospheric songwriting. Her presence adds another distinctive voice to an already diverse and compelling bill.
With symphonic metal, modern heaviness, and some of the most recognisable voices in heavy music sharing the same stage, 1 February 2026 is set to be an unmissable night for fans of the genre.
