A special concert will take place on 4 July in the Sala Tejo at the MEO Arena, marking the official launch of the 2026 edition of the EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL.
The EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL is bolstering its 2026 programme with the launch of EVILLIVƎ WARMUP, a night of concerts marking the official start of this year’s edition, which will take place on 4 July at the Sala Tejo in the MEO Arena, Lisbon. Conceived as the opening event of the EVILLIVƎ experience in 2026, the line-up brings together TRIVIUM and CAVALERA, two hugely prominent names in contemporary heavy music, and OKKULTIST, one of the most acclaimed emerging acts of recent years on the national heavy music scene.
Heading the line-up will be the American band TRIVIUM, one of the most influential and consistent acts in modern metal. Led by the incomparable Matt Heafy, the band has built an exemplary career spanning more than two decades, a journey marked by a unique ability to balance aggression, technical sophistication and a vast melodic range. With seminal albums such as Ascendancy, Shogun and In The Court Of The Dragon, the American band has established itself as an indispensable benchmark of its generation, winning over a global fanbase and maintaining a regular presence on major international stages.
The evening will also feature a moment of immense historical significance starring the CAVALERA brothers, who will present the special show Cavalera Plays Chaos A.D., dedicated to one of the most influential albums of all time in heavy music. Originally released in 1993 by SEPULTURA, ‘Chaos A.D.’ undeniably marked a profound transformation in the language of metal, introducing new rhythmic approaches, greater conceptual depth and an aesthetic identity that would go on to influence generations. In this concert, Max Cavalera and Igor Cavalera will perform the entire album in its entirety, celebrating its legacy with the intensity and authenticity that have defined their career and reaffirming their role as central figures in the history of the genre.
Rounding off the line-up will be the Portuguese band OKKULTIST, one of the most prominent acts of the new generation of Portuguese extreme metal. With a sound that combines contemporary aggression with a strong aesthetic and performative identity, the band has been steadily making a name for itself both in and outside Portugal, gaining recognition for the consistency of their releases and the intensity of their live performances. For all these reasons, the staging of the EVILLIVƎ WARM-UP on the eve of the festival reinforces the global scope of the 2026 edition, which will take place on 5 July at the MEO Arena and will feature MARILYN MANSON and MEGADETH as co-headliners, alongside performances by MASTODON, CONVERGE, THE GATHERING and IMMINENCE. Together, these two days of programming offer a comprehensive snapshot of the vitality and diversity of contemporary heavy music, bringing together legendary acts with some of today’s most significant projects.
Tickets for EVILLIVƎ WARM-UP cost 45 euros for the stands and 50 euros for the floor, and are now on sale at primeartists.eu and the usual outlets.
