After leaving a deep mark on this year’s Evil Live Festival, GAEREA are set to return to Portuguese stages at the end of 2025 for two exclusive headline shows in Porto and Lisbon.
The anonymous black metal collective will perform on 4 December at Hard Club, in Porto, and on 5 December at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, in Lisbon. Across both nights, the band promise the kind of intense, immersive and emotionally charged performances that have turned their concerts into true modern rituals, built on suffocating atmospheres, stark visuals and absolute commitment on stage.

Their recent appearance at Evil Live Festival confirmed once again the current power of GAEREA’s live show – a blend of contemporary black metal, tightly executed musicianship and a gripping sense of tension that envelops the audience from the first note to the last. Critics and fans were unanimous in praising the cohesion of the performance and the band’s ability to create a dense, claustrophobic environment, raising expectations even higher for these long-awaited national dates.
For these special shows, GAEREA will be joined by APOTHEUS, one of the most interesting names in Portuguese progressive metal. The band from Paços de Ferreira will bring to the stage the elaborate, conceptual approach heard on Ergo Atlas, promising powerful riffs, strong melodies and a narrative drive that will set the tone for the nights ahead. Their presence ensures that both evenings will begin as they are meant to continue: intense, dynamic and emotionally engaging.
With two of Portugal’s most respected heavy acts sharing the bill, these concerts at Hard Club and LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo are shaping up to be essential dates for fans of extreme music. Between GAEREA’s visceral black metal and APOTHEUS’ progressive weight, Porto and Lisbon will host two journeys designed not just to be watched, but fully experienced.
