Progressive metal visionaries Leprous are set to make their long-awaited return to Portugal in November 2025, with two exclusive headline shows in Lisbon and Porto as part of their extensive European Tour 2025.
The Norwegian quintet will perform at República da Música (Lisbon) on November 2, followed by a concert at Hard Club (Porto) on November 3. The tour comes in support of their critically acclaimed eighth studio album, Melodies of Atonement, released on August 30, 2024.
A Progressive Metal Force Redefining Emotion and Precision
Over the past decade, Leprous have earned a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking acts in modern progressive metal. Known for their seamless blend of technical prowess and raw emotional power, the band — led by the charismatic Einar Solberg — has consistently challenged genre boundaries. Albums such as Malina (2017) and Aphelion (2021) cemented their reputation for crafting emotionally charged soundscapes that transcend metal’s traditional frameworks.
On stage, Leprous are revered for their immersive, soul-stirring performances, transforming each show into an introspective journey through light, shadow, and catharsis. Fans attending the Portuguese dates can expect a setlist that merges the intricate new material from Melodies of Atonement with fan-favorite classics, all delivered with the trademark precision and intensity that have become synonymous with the band’s name.
Special Guests: Gåte and Royal Sorrow
Joining Leprous on this tour are Gåte, fellow Norwegians who blend traditional Scandinavian folk with modern rock and metal elements. After representing Norway at Eurovision 2024 with their haunting track “Ulveham,” Gåte have captivated audiences worldwide with their fusion of ancient melodies and contemporary textures.
Opening both Portuguese dates are Royal Sorrow, a rising act whose atmospheric and dynamic approach to heavy music promises to set the tone for a night of pure emotion and sonic depth.
