Helsinki’s appetite for Canada’s blast-beat virtuosos has earned the band a two-night run at Ääniwalli on November 21 and 22.
Helsinki needs to get ready for a double dose of Archspire. Presented by TuskaLive and Grey Beard, the Canadian technical death metal band will now play two nights at Ääniwalli, on November 21 and 22, 2026. The second date was added because the first show, announced earlier, has sold out! Tickets for the second show are available through Tiketti.
Coming from Vancouver, Archspire have built a reputation as one of the most extreme acts in modern technical death metal. Their music is relentlessly fast and played with almost surgical precision. It is driven by Oli Peters’ unmistakable rapid-fire delivery, closer to rap rather to a traditional death metal growl. Since their debut, All Shall Align (2011), the band has kept raising the bar with The Lucid Collective (2014), Relentless Mutation (2017) and Bleed the Future (2021). The Helsinki shows are part of the tour for their newly released album, Too Fast to Die, so fans can expect plenty of fresh material alongside the older songs.
The two Ääniwalli nights are the grand finale of “European Vacation,” Archspire’s European tour for Too Fast to Die. The run kicks off on October 23 at Essigfabrik in Köln, Germany, and covers 26 shows in 14 countries in just one month. It passes through the UK and Ireland, Western and Central Europe, and the Nordic countries before ending in the Finnish capital. Demand has been strong across the continent: Nijmegen, Copenhagen and Stockholm have already sold out, and many other dates are listed as selling fast. Helsinki is the only city on the tour to get two nights, so the November 21 and 22 shows at Ääniwalli will close “European Vacation” in style.
Archspire will be accompanied by three more bands at Ääniwalli. Crown Magnetar, from Colorado, play a crushing, dissonant style of deathcore; The Zenith Passage, from Los Angeles, offer progressive, groove-laden technical death metal; and, last but not least, Analepsy, from Portugal, round out the bill with brutal, slam-heavy death metal.
Both nights promise speed, brutality and technicality in equal measure.
