The leading exponents of American metalcore join MARILYN MANSON, MEGADETH, MASTODON, THE GATHERING and IMMINENCE, completing the definitive line-up for the 2026 edition.

American heavyweights CONVERGE have been confirmed for the 2026 edition of EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL, completing the event’s final line-up for what promises to be an outstanding day of heavy music on 5 July 2026 at the MEO Arena in Lisbon. The influential band led by Jacob Bannon and Kurt Ballou joins previously announced co-headliners MARILYN MANSON and MEGADETH, alongside the critically acclaimed MASTODON, THE GATHERING and IMMINENCE, bringing together a bill that reflects different generations, styles and approaches within heavy music.

Formed in 1990 in Salem, Massachusetts, CONVERGE are widely recognised as one of the most important and innovative bands in contemporary hardcore and metal. Led by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou, the group has built its career around a singular artistic identity, characterised by extreme emotional intensity, a demanding musical approach and a consistent refusal to follow predictable formulas. Over the course of more than three decades, the band has established itself as an essential reference point within extreme music, exerting a profound influence on the development of modern hardcore, metalcore and numerous other strands of the underground scene.

The release of albums such as Jane Doe, widely regarded as one of the most important heavy music records of the twenty-first century, cemented the band’s reputation as a uniquely creative force. Subsequent releases including Axe to Fall, All We Love We Leave Behind, The Dusk in Us and the brand-new Love Is Not Enough have further strengthened that standing, demonstrating an ongoing ability to evolve without compromising the intensity and authenticity that have defined the band’s sound since its earliest days in the early 1990s.

For all these reasons, CONVERGE’s appearance at EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL adds an essential artistic dimension to the line-up, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to a programme that celebrates both legendary names and bands that have redefined the creative boundaries of heavy music over recent decades. Renowned for their intense and physically immersive live performances, the American quartet will bring to Lisbon a show that reflects the urgency, energy and emotional depth that have always characterised their career.

With this announcement, the line-up for the 2026 edition of EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL is now complete. Bringing together some of the most influential figures in the history of heavy music on a single stage, the festival combines the co-headlining performances of MARILYN MANSON and MEGADETH with the historical significance of the newly confirmed CONVERGE, the creative weight of fellow Americans MASTODON, the emotional impact of Dutch pioneers THE GATHERING and the continued rise of Swedish outfit IMMINENCE, resulting in an edition distinguished by both artistic relevance and stylistic diversity.

Tickets for EVILLIVƎ FESTIVAL are priced between €75 and €79 and are available now at primeartists.eu and from the usual ticket outlets.
