With only a few weeks remaining until its highly anticipated return, SWR Barroselas Metalfest 2026 has unveiled the full daily running order for its 2026 edition. The festival will once again take place in the historic village of Barroselas, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, between April 29 and May 2, 2026.
Regarded as one of the most significant events in the European extreme metal calendar, the festival promises four days of intensity, featuring a carefully curated lineup of both established and emerging acts from across the global underground. Among the standout names are Exhumed, Beherit, and Bölzer, alongside notable Portuguese and international underground representatives.
This year’s edition also marks the introduction of two new acts replacing previously announced cancellations: Aversio Humanitatis and Raptore, who step in for Nubivagant and Iron Curtain.
