Dream Theater at Porto Coliseu today

DREAM THEATER “Images, Words and Beyond 25th Anniversary tour” will visit Portugal today (April 30) at the Porto Coliseu.

Doors will open at 20h30 and show will start at 21h30.

After the unwelcome «The Astonishing» album, and a missing spot in its promoting tour, the galactic team of rock and prog metal finally returns to Portugal.

The lack of a visit in the precedent tour has left a bitter-sweet feeling. Even tough «The Astonishing» has not made up to its expectations (still, true DT fans hope this to be a sort of Quadrophenia/The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway classic for future generations of prog listeners), this is good chance for them to pay-off.

The pretext for the upcoming visit is the classic album Images & Words, that turned them from Berkeley school of music aspirating students, to the new stars of technical metal and rock.
In fact, most metal connoisseurs, still have this album and «Awake» as a musical reference, due to his progressive feature, as well as the instrumental side.

Dream Theater have always kept reference of their journey through time and been eager to celebrate that with their fans. On top of being truly a live tour band, unsuccessul tours, (like that of «The Astonishing») is not a part of their legacy. Hence, they propose to us, once again, 3 hours (perhaps with an extra half-hour) of great and «majestic» music. The first hour will be dedicated to a sample of all their albums, whereas the second Act will be  entirety dedicated to the classic «Images and Words». Saving the best for last, the epic «A Change of Seasons».

Tickets were available from December 20th onwards on Dream Theater website.

Tickets can also be purchased via Ticketline or at Coliseu Porto.

Also available in several Portugues shops like: Abreu, Worten, Fnac, Note!, MMM Ticket, C.C. Mundicenter, C.C.
