Heavy Psych Sounds Fest Berlin & Dresden 2026 brings the label’s Heavy Rock Community to Germany

The Heavy Psych Sounds Fest returns to Germany on 16 and 17 October 2026, with consecutive editions in Berlin and Dresden celebrating the diverse roster of the Heavy Psych Sounds label. Organised in collaboration with Dustown and ElbSludgeBooking, the travelling festival continues its established format by bringing together internationally recognised artists from the worlds of stoner rock, doom, psychedelic rock and heavy blues across two German venues.

The 2026 line-up features Belzebong, Valley of the Sun, Hippie Death Cult, Duel, Mr Bison, Mondo Drag, Early Moods, Freedom Hawk, Lord Elephant and Hijss, while Deathchant joins the bill exclusively for the Dresden event. Together, the programme presents a broad overview of the Heavy Psych Sounds catalogue, highlighting artists whose music spans heavy psychedelia, doom metal, desert rock and classic heavy rock traditions.

The Berlin edition will take place at Neue Zukunft, while Chemiefabrik will host the Dresden event the following day. By presenting virtually the same line-up across consecutive dates, the festival offers audiences in both cities access to a carefully curated selection of bands that have become closely associated with the Italian independent label. The concept reflects Heavy Psych Sounds’ ongoing commitment to promoting its artists beyond traditional touring formats, creating events centred on a shared musical identity rather than a conventional festival structure.

Since its foundation, Heavy Psych Sounds has developed into one of Europe’s most respected independent labels specialising in stoner rock, doom and psychedelic heavy music. Through its annual festivals across several European countries, the label has built a recognisable platform where established acts perform alongside newer additions to its roster, strengthening connections within an international community of musicians and audiences. The Berlin and Dresden editions continue this philosophy, offering two evenings that celebrate the contemporary heavy rock underground in an intimate concert setting.

Among the festival’s featured artists, Belzebong have established themselves as one of Europe’s most recognisable instrumental stoner doom bands. Formed in Kielce, Poland, in 2008, the quartet built its reputation through a distinctive combination of heavily distorted, slow-moving riffs, hypnotic grooves and psychedelic atmospheres, embracing an entirely instrumental approach that allows the music to develop through texture and repetition rather than vocals. Albums such as Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves, Greenferno and Light the Dankness have cemented the band’s position within the international stoner and doom scene, earning them a loyal following through extensive touring across Europe and appearances at major genre festivals. While their aesthetic often incorporates humour and cannabis-inspired imagery, Belzebong’s musical identity is founded on carefully crafted compositions, immersive soundscapes and a consistent dedication to the traditions of doom and heavy psychedelia. Their sustained presence on the international circuit has made them one of the defining acts of the contemporary European stoner doom movement and a natural highlight of this year’s Heavy Psych Sounds Fest.
