HIM announces farewell tour!!

HIM (1991 – 2017): With a long and prosper 26-year career, HIM announced yesterday the final chapter of their career.

The band has been in a relatively long hiatus and four years after the release of their lastest album ‘Tears On Tape” (2013) they announce via their official Facebook page the forthcoming farewell Tour dates.

The band was formed in Helsinki back in 1991 by Ville Valo, Mikko “Linde” Lindström and Mikko “Migé” Paananen. And quickly became, not only in Finland but all around the world, as one of the most charismatic and well known known rock/metal band. Pleasing goth, metal and hardrock subgenera fans, with their romantic and deep lyrics HIM build for themselves a new category in the metal scene that became known as Love Metal (selected title for their 4th album). Along all their career years and countless shows around the world, with eight released full albums they conquered a legion of loyal fans that follow them under their “trademark” Heartagram logo.
HIM filled venues and crashed charts all over the world, collected numerous awards, made it to magazine covers and became the first Finnish band to conquer the Gold selling records status in the USA. After all this accomplishments it will be hard for their fans to see this band depart form the spotlight. Read below the bands statements:

Frontman Ville Valo words:

“After quarter of a century of Love and Metal intertwined we sincerely feel HIM has run its unnatural course and adieus must be said in order to make way for sights, scents and sounds yet unexplored. We completed the pattern, solved the puzzle and turned the key. Thank you.”

Mikko “Mige” Paananen comments:

“At the end of 2017 we will be released into the wild.”
“Before this event of great transformation we would love to offer you one last chance to experience our live performances in His Majesty’s service. It shall not be a weepfest but a celebration of love metal in all its lovecraftian glory! See you there!”“

The upcoming tour consists in 35 announced shows that will cover a total of 14 countries. In they home country (Finland) the last confirmed shows are in  in Tuuri village shop Million Rock Festival and Tuska Opern Air. but more dates are to be announced in this country.  Check below were you will be able to see HIM live for the last time:
