Into the Void Fest 2026 – 1000mods lead a powerful Stoner and Doom lineup

Into the Void Fest 2026 continues its celebration of Heavy Riffs

On 26 September 2026, Into the Void Fest will return to Neushoorn in the Netherlands for another edition dedicated to stoner rock, doom metal, sludge and psychedelic heavy music. Over the years, the festival has established a distinctive identity within the European heavy music circuit by favouring carefully curated lineups over sheer scale, bringing together internationally recognised artists alongside emerging acts from across the underground. The 2026 edition continues this approach with a programme that reflects the stylistic diversity of contemporary riff-driven music while remaining firmly rooted in the traditions of doom and stoner rock.

This year’s lineup is headed by Greek stoner rock veterans 1000mods, who return to the Netherlands as one of Europe’s most respected names within the genre. They will be joined by Norway’s The Devil and the Almighty Blues, Polish psychedelic doom specialists Belzebong, Canadian progressive metal outfit Anciients, Dutch heavy rockers Komatsu, TankZilla, Iron Jinn, Kryptograf, Ponte del Diavolo, Daevar, Spirit Mother, Coltaine, Alber Jupiter and El Altar del Holocausto, creating a programme that balances established artists with newer names gaining recognition across the international underground.

Rather than embracing the large-scale format adopted by many European festivals, Into the Void has consistently focused on creating an intimate environment where audiences can experience performances at close range. This philosophy has become one of the festival’s defining characteristics, encouraging interaction between artists and attendees while allowing the music itself to remain at the centre of the experience. The result is an event that prioritises musical discovery as much as established favourites, with each edition presenting a carefully selected cross-section of contemporary heavy rock.

The festival’s artistic direction also reflects the continued vitality of the stoner and doom scenes. While rooted in the influence of pioneers such as Black Sabbath, Kyuss and Sleep, the participating artists demonstrate how the genre continues to evolve through progressive arrangements, psychedelic experimentation, sludge influences and post-metal atmospheres. The diversity of the 2026 lineup illustrates the broad creative spectrum that now exists within riff-oriented heavy music, ensuring audiences encounter both familiar sounds and new perspectives throughout the day.

Among the anticipated performances, 1000mods are expected to deliver one of the festival’s defining sets. Their reputation as an accomplished live band has made them regular participants at major European festivals, while their extensive touring schedule continues to strengthen their international following. Sharing the bill with artists representing multiple interpretations of heavy rock allows Into the Void Fest to present a programme that remains cohesive without sacrificing stylistic variety, reaffirming the event’s position as one of Europe’s leading boutique festivals dedicated to stoner, doom and psychedelic heaviness.

Formed in Chiliomodi, Greece, in 2006, 1000mods have become one of the most influential European bands within the modern stoner rock movement. Emerging from Greece’s thriving underground scene, the quartet established its reputation through relentless touring and independently released recordings before achieving wider international recognition with albums such as Super Van Vacation, Vultures and Youth of Dissent. Their music combines the groove-driven foundations of classic desert rock with elements of heavy psychedelia, grunge and traditional hard rock, resulting in a sound that is both accessible and distinctly their own. Over nearly two decades, 1000mods have cultivated a strong international audience through consistent live performances and an uncompromising artistic identity, earning a reputation as one of the most respected contemporary acts in European heavy rock. Their headline appearance at Into the Void Fest 2026 reflects both their sustained growth and their continued importance within the global stoner rock community.
