Norwegian progressive metal masters Leprous are gearing up for a triumphant return to Portugal this November 2025, with two exclusive dates that promise to be nothing short of transcendent. The band will bring their acclaimed Melodies of Atonement European Tour to República da Música (Lisbon) on November 2, and Hard Club (Porto) on November 3, for what are expected to be two of the most anticipated performances of the year.
Having spent over two decades redefining the parameters of progressive metal, Leprous continue to bridge emotion, technical mastery, and raw intensity like few others can. Led by the incomparable Einar Solberg, the Norwegian quintet have evolved from underground innovators into one of the genre’s most respected and dynamic live acts. Their latest album, Melodies of Atonement (released August 30, 2024), finds the band at their most introspective yet — weaving haunting melodies and cinematic textures into a sound both grand and intimate.
An Experience Beyond the Stage
A Leprous show is never just a concert — it’s an experience that borders on the spiritual. Known for their precision, depth, and emotional immersion, the band’s live performances often leave audiences spellbound. Fans can expect a carefully curated setlist blending new material with modern classics from Malina and Aphelion, delivered with the band’s signature energy and sonic clarity.
Gåte and Royal Sorrow to Join the Line-up
Joining Leprous on their Portuguese dates are fellow Norwegians Gåte, whose hybrid of traditional Nordic folk and contemporary rock earned them widespread acclaim after representing Norway at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Ulveham.” Their presence adds a mythical and ethereal layer to the night’s atmosphere. Opening the evening will be Royal Sorrow, a rising act whose melancholic yet powerful sound will set the tone for a night of sonic exploration.
A Tour Not to Be Missed
For Portuguese fans, these two dates mark a rare opportunity to witness one of the most influential forces in modern progressive music up close. From Lisbon’s intimate República da Música to Porto’s iconic Hard Club, Leprous are poised to deliver performances that will resonate long after the final note fades.
