Fresh off the huge success of their sold-out and unrepeatable show at Quinta da Ribafria on September 12th, Moonspell announce more news coming this year.
On December 5th, the band will perform at Panorama de Alcobaça , at the invitation of the prestigious Cistermúsica and as part of the Fronteiras season, with their show Opus Diabolicum . After the success of their orchestral concerts in Lisbon (MEO Arena, 2024) and Mexico City (Pepsi Center, 2026), Moonspell return to Portugal for an exclusive date in Alcobaça.
On stage will be 50 musicians. The usual Moonspell lineup will be joined by the Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra , conducted by maestro Vasco Pearce de Azevedo , with orchestral arrangements by pianist and composer Filipe Melo .
Alcobaça thus hosts the third ever performance of this magnificent show, which combines the power of heavy metal with the grandeur of a symphony orchestra. Immortalized on live CD and DVD and acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, this encounter reveals a new dimension of the most internationally renowned Portuguese band.
