Sunburst Fest celebrates 10th anniversary with three days of independent music in Almada

2, 3 and 4 October 2026 | Cine Incrível, Almada

Sunburst Fest celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special three-day edition at Cine Incrível, in Almada, from 2 to 4 October 2026. Organised by Sunburst Triptych in partnership with TODOS, the festival once again brings together independent and underground music projects from different parts of Portugal and Olivenza.

Over the course of a decade, Sunburst Fest has established a space dedicated to independent music, providing a platform for artists and projects operating outside the more conventional circuits while bringing together different scenes, audiences and musical approaches.

For this anniversary edition, the programme maintains this spirit of diversity, encompassing rock, punk, metal, alternative music and experiences that cross different genres, across three nights in the centre of Almada.

2 OCTOBER — FRIDAY

Goldfish Kaseem — Lisbon
Turbo Danger — Barreiro

The opening night launches the celebrations with two projects from the Lisbon and South Bank areas, setting the tone for a weekend defined by the diversity of independent music.

3 OCTOBER — SATURDAY

Desert Mammoth — Almada
Marciano — Leiria
Tentacula — Olivenza
Varma — Almada
ReignOverClouds (Tiago Ramirez) — Lisbon

The second night expands the festival’s musical map, bringing together projects from Almada, Lisbon, Leiria and Olivenza. Moving between different approaches to rock, heavy music and experimentation, the programme retains one of Sunburst Fest’s defining characteristics: bringing artists and projects from different geographical locations and musical backgrounds together in the same space.

4 OCTOBER — SUNDAY

Rutta — Lisbon
Weedcoca — Lisbon
Vengeful Fate — Lisbon
Tokyo Wanderer (Nuno Cruz) — Lisbon

The final night concludes the tenth-anniversary celebrations with a programme spanning different areas of alternative music.

Alongside punk, heavy rock and metal, the evening will also feature Tokyo Wanderer: Tudo e Nada ao Mesmo Tempo, the project by Nuno Cruz, which explores the intersection of rock, rap and electronic music in an approach that challenges the boundaries between genres.

A DECADE OF SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT MUSIC

More than simply marking an anniversary, Sunburst Fest 10th Anniversary aims to celebrate a decade of activity dedicated to independent music and the communities that keep it alive.

The 2026 edition continues its commitment to a diverse programme, bringing together emerging projects and artists with different backgrounds, while reaffirming Cine Incrível in Almada as a meeting point for different expressions of alternative music.
