The Swedish rockers GRAVEYARD return to Portugal in 2025 to present their latest album, “6”, in a unique show.

GRAVEYARD, one of the most respected psychedelic rock and contemporary hard rock bands, return to Portugal for a unique concert at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo, on April 26, 2025. Acclaimed by critics and a loyal fanbase, the Swedish musicians bring with them their latest LP of original material, titled “6”, promising a show that combines the visceral energy of rock’n’roll with moments of deep introspection. Known for their intense live performances, the group led by the powerful voice and guitar of Joakim Nilsson is once again preparing to reaffirm their status as an undeniable reference in the genres they embrace.

Formed in Gothenburg in 2006, GRAVEYARD quickly found a special place in the hearts of classic rock fans with their unique fusion of blues, psychedelia, hard rock, and an intensity increasingly rare in today’s world. The following year, they started making waves with the release of their self-titled debut LP, which revealed the explosive chemistry between the musicians and a singular approach to composition. However, that LP was just the beginning of a meteoric rise that would lead them to sign with Nuclear Blast Records and, thanks to albums like “Hisingen Blues” and “Lights Out”, solidifying their position as one of the leading names in the genre.

Uninterested in succumbing to the “retro” label that was quickly attached to them, GRAVEYARD evolved both sonically and in terms of their lineup. However, they never lost the essence that truly sets them apart: a visceral delivery, impeccable authenticity, and a seemingly innate ability to translate complex emotions into catchy, earworm-like songs. Today, they are a clear reflection of maturity and reinvention, with this return to Portuguese stages following the release of “6”.

Released in 2023, GRAVEYARD’s sixth studio album reflected a period of deep introspection and creative rebirth. It is the second album with the current lineup, consisting of Joakim Nilsson on vocals and guitar, Jonathan Ramm on guitar, Truls Mörck on bass, and Oskar Bergenheim on drums. With nine tracks, “6” perfectly balances moments of pure emotional fragility with bursts of energy that directly evoke the spirit of classic rock’n’roll, capturing the essence of a band that operates purely by instinct, keeping alive the flame of authenticity and intensity that has always defined them.

Over the years, GRAVEYARD has built a global fanbase. With more than 120 million streams on digital platforms, 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and a significant social media presence—including over 147,000 followers on Facebook and 49,000 on Instagram—they are acclaimed both by audiences and specialized critics. Their concerts, dominated by raw energy and an emotional connection to the audience, are transformative experiences. The return to Portugal in 2025 will certainly be no exception, with the band promising a setlist that spans the most memorable moments of their discography, from tracks from the latest “6” to the classics that have won the hearts of fans over the past 17 years.
