After selling out ten of Portugal’s most beautiful theatres in 2010 and internationalizing the project at the world’s largest Heavy Metal festival (Wacken, Germany, 2012) before thousands of people, Moonspell now joins forces with the agency aFirma and programmers from at least ten cities and towns in our country to revive a concept that has been sorely missed.
With a redefined repertoire that includes surprising versions of their classics and novelties that are the band’s hallmark, the group takes their music to new dimensions, meeting their loyal audience in their cities for a unique, exclusive, and captivating experience.
In addition to the usual five musicians, the trio of Magnetic Strings and two singers join Moonspell on stage (with a design specially crafted for this tour), enhancing a night where not only the acoustic purity of the music of this ensemble gathered for the occasion will be heard but also stories from the band’s career, in communion with the Portuguese public, who have always been so devoted to them.
Because from darkness comes light, and from simplicity comes greatness, we have the honour to bring you today, to your city and your theatre, Soombra, the acoustic facet of the ever-growing enchantment of the Moon: our Moonspell.
