Moonspell announce two distinct nights at Hard Club

Moonspell return to Hard Club for two distinct Halloween concerts

Moonspell will return to Hard Club in Porto for two concerts on October 31 and November 1, 2026, as part of the band’s annual Halloween celebrations. The two performances will feature different setlists, bringing together the Portuguese band’s latest material, a landmark album anniversary and songs from across more than three decades of their career.

The first night, titled Invicta Halloween, will focus on Far From God, Moonspell’s fourteenth studio album, which will be performed in full. The concert will also mark the 30th anniversary of Irreligious, the 1996 record that played a central role in establishing the band’s international reputation within gothic and extreme metal.

Released this year, Far From God continues Moonspell’s exploration of gothic atmospheres, heavy riffs and the contrast between Fernando Ribeiro’s vocal approaches. Its presentation at Hard Club will feature a new stage and lighting design, conceived for the album’s live performance.

The anniversary of Irreligious provides a parallel with an earlier period in the band’s development. Released at a time when gothic metal was expanding its audience, the album helped define Moonspell’s combination of dark melodies, metallic weight and theatrical atmosphere. Three decades later, it remains one of the most recognisable works in the band’s catalogue.

The second concert, on November 1, will take a different approach. Rather than focusing on a single album, Moonspell will revisit songs from different stages of their discography, offering a broader view of their evolution since the early 1990s. The band has described the performance as a journey through different songs, eras and memories, designed specifically for its return to Porto.

Both evenings will feature NU:N, the Porto-based band whose sound combines gothic rock with electronic influences. Their music provides a local opening act for two concerts centred on Moonspell’s long-standing relationship with gothic aesthetics and heavy music.

The Porto concerts also reinforce the connection between Moonspell and a city that has remained an important setting for the band’s live performances.

The October 31 show is sold out, while tickets for the November 1 concert have been announced through the band’s official channels.
