Reckless Love are back! After the single “Keep It Up All Night”, that it’s available on single and as UK bonus track of the album, the Finnish band returns with their 4th record “InVader”. Hard rock, 80’s sleaze, and radio hits is what the band used to us in the previous records, and they didn’t changed a bit. The formula is alive and well, and it works on the songs of the quartet.

Good examples of that are party songs to which the album was clearly driven like “We Are The Weekend”, “Hands”, and “Let’s Get Cracking (THWP)”, which has a very funny finale and maybe it’s the only proper heavy metal moment of the album. There is also room for the typical cheesy moments that put naughty smiles on our faces, onthe single “Monster”, “Child Of The Sun”, and “Scandinavian Girls”. “Bullettime” and “Destiny” are two moments of pure inspiration, in a record that don’t add anything new to a genre that on these days seems a bit forgotten, maybe because there’s not many bands keeping up the quality as high as this band.

Produced by IlkkaWirtanen, it’s a good record but we’ll find it a bit pop sometimes. Maybe it’s better for us to save this album for the summer days. It definitely will have another kind of feeling when we play it, better than in the cold days of March.
