North American doomsters YOB have just streamed their new song “Unmask the Spectre”. The song is part of the band’s upcoming album, “Clearing The Path To Ascend”, which will be released on September 1st in the UK and Europe and in the US on September 2nd via Neurot Recordings.
It’s a 15 minute epic song, which after an easy balanced guitar intro, pulls out some granitic guitar riffs and growled wrecking shouts. A true sinister assault…
Vocalist/guitarist Mike Scheidt has stated:
This part of the album gets dark, but it also has a sense of beauty and resolve. The mood and atmosphere nod equal parts to old and new Yob. It’s one of my favorite things we’ve ever done.
Yob trio are confirmed for the next edition of AMPLIFEST, next October, in Porto.
