If you are thinking this is another pagan metal EP because of its artwork and title? Once again, it proves that you should never judge a book by its cover.
KHASM is a French band and in its essence categorised as a death metal band, that tends to fuse hardcore elements in their sonority. They released their debut EP called “Fenris” in the past March 31st, 2016.
Their debut EP comprises only four tracks, called “Fenris”, “No More Justice”, “Nightwatch” and “Turmoil”. The album includes a special collaboration with Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry) that contributed with a solo guitar for “Nightwatch” track.
This independent record shows us a band that has all the foundations to grow in the hardcore scene. Proving to have the potential and determination to be present in several venues and festivals in a near future.
The production of Joke Skog (Feared, Clawfinger) provides an extra support to a band that combines an in-your-face songwriting with raging vocals. They also show an old-school attitude that complements the aforementioned facts to build a muscled sound. This EP will leave the listener with an hunger for more of what this band can provide. This is indeed a good addition for the followers of this genre.
