Viseu Death Fest 2026 headlined by Sépulcre and Fleshless for Fifth Edition
Viseu Death Fest will return for its fifth edition on November 6 and 7 2026 at Orfeão de Viseu, Portugal. The two-day event will feature 13 bands from Portugal and several other countries, maintaining its focus on death metal and the wider extreme metal underground.
The programme brings together established acts and underground bands from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and the Czech Republic. The line-up covers several strands of extreme metal, including brutal death metal, black metal and old-school death metal.
Friday’s programme will feature four bands: Portuguese acts Hoax and Vomitous Iniquity, alongside Spain’s Dystopian Omen and Akouphenom. The opening night will provide a platform for the Portuguese underground alongside international acts working within extreme metal.
Saturday’s line-up expands to nine bands, beginning with French duo Abhorrent Execration and continuing with Brazilian brutal death metal band Lacerated and Carbonized. Spain will be represented by Cerebral Curse, Caustic and Apparition, while Portugal’s Nihility will also perform.
Italian band Claustrum, French act Sépulcre and Czech death metal veterans Fleshless complete Saturday’s programme.
Among the international names, Lacerated and Carbonized bring a brutal death metal approach rooted in the Brazilian scene. French act Abhorrent Execration operate as a bass-and-drums duo, drawing on traditions of extreme and blackened death metal. Sépulcre represent the French underground, while Fleshless arrive with a long history in Czech death metal.
Organised around the local extreme metal community, Viseu Death Fest has developed into a recurring event for underground bands and audiences in Portugal. Its fifth edition continues that approach by combining domestic acts with groups from across the European and South American scenes.
Viseu Death Fest 2026 takes place on November 6 and 7 at Orfeão de Viseu.
Friday tickets are listed at 5€, while the two-day pass and Saturday ticket are priced at 20€ in advance, rising to 25€ at the door.
