The musicians associated with Swedish depressive black metal band Lifelover will revisit the group’s repertoire in Spain this November under the name Kall plays Lifelover. The dates form part of a series of performances dedicated to the music of Lifelover, whose career ended following the death of principal composer Jonas “B” Bergqvist in 2011.

The announced Spanish schedule includes concerts in Granada, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Portugalete between November 18th and 22nd. The performances are intended as a tribute to Bergqvist and the catalogue developed by the band during its original activity.

Lifelover emerged in the mid-2000s and became associated with depressive black metal, combining bleak lyrical themes with unconventional structures and influences beyond the genre’s traditional boundaries. Releases such as Pulver and Konkurs helped establish the band’s position within the underground scene.

The musicians now performing as Kall have continued to explore related musical territory. Under the Kall plays Lifelover concept, they will revisit the original band’s material rather than presenting the dates as a conventional reunion of Lifelover.

The announced itinerary begins at Sala Riff in Granada on November 18th, followed by Sala Uni in Madrid on November 19th and Sala Zulú in Valencia on November 20th. The Barcelona performance is scheduled for November 21st at Foment Martinenc, as part of the fourth Extreme Metal Record Fair. The final date is set for November 22nd at Sala Groove in Portugalete.

The series offers audiences in Spain an opportunity to hear Lifelover’s repertoire performed live again, more than a decade after the band’s dissolution.

Supporting acts vary by date, with Opus Aretheia, Cadaver de Cabra, Velo Misere and Leviathan A.C. appearing on selected shows.
