A 100% Swedish line-up featuring support from Orbit Culture and Soilwork
An evening of melodic death metal and contemporary heaviness at Sala Tejo, featuring Amon Amarth, Orbit Culture and Soilwork.
Amon Amarth’s saga will once again cross the European continent in 2026, with Lisbon firmly on the itinerary. Portugal is set to welcome the legendary Swedish Vikings back to the country as part of their monumental The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK tour. On 15 November 2026, Sala Tejo at MEO Arena will host the band led by Johan Hegg, marking the eagerly anticipated return of one of the most influential names in modern melodic death metal.
Adding to the occasion, the tour brings together three bands that have each shaped different chapters in the evolution of Scandinavian heavy music over recent decades. Amon Amarth will be joined by the rising force Orbit Culture and Swedish melodic death metal veterans Soilwork on The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK tour.
Renowned for their monumental stage productions and Viking-inspired imagery, Amon Amarth have established a reputation for delivering an all-encompassing live experience. Their elaborate visual production, instrumental precision and the commanding presence of vocalist Johan Hegg combine to create performances of considerable sensory and musical intensity. The 2026 tour promises to raise the bar further, with a setlist spanning the band’s essential albums and reaffirming their central role in shaping contemporary melodic death metal.
For this European run, which marks the band’s return to headlining stages across the continent, Amon Amarth promise an entirely revamped and enhanced stage production. Following a summer during which they shared stages with Slayer in Cardiff and London before touring the United States alongside Pantera, the Swedes are preparing a show specifically conceived and designed for this tour. The production will further develop the theatrical dimension that has become a defining feature of their live performances, bringing a specially designed spectacle to Portugal.

The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK kicked off in Manchester on 9 October and travels across the United Kingdom and Europe for more than a month, culminating in the Lisbon date. Before announcing the European tour, Amon Amarth unveiled the single “We Rule The Waves”, accompanied by a music video that reaffirmed the band’s enduring vigour. The release followed an extended period without new music and offered a preview of their forthcoming album, “The Allfather Awakens”, released this month. Described as being “carved in salt and steel, echoing across the oceans”, the follow-up to The Great Heathen Army promises the epic scale and sonic intensity that have defined the band throughout their career.
According to the official announcement, The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK is conceived as a “Swedish invasion”, reinforced by the inclusion of Orbit Culture, who continue to establish themselves as one of the most energetic and innovative acts in modern metal, and Soilwork, whose long-standing career has had a profound impact on European melodic death metal. Bringing together three bands representing different eras and approaches within the Swedish metal scene, Amon Amarth’s Lisbon show is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated concerts of the second half of 2026.
