Icelandic metal act SÓLSTAFIR will not perform at this year’s UNDER THE DOOM festival, with the band forced to withdraw from the event scheduled for Friday, 25 September.
The cancellation follows a strike at Keflavík International Airport, which resulted in the cancellation of the band’s flights. With no suitable alternative available within the festival’s schedule, SÓLSTAFIR were ultimately unable to travel to Portugal for the performance.
Despite the short notice, the festival organisers have managed to secure Portuguese band PROCESS OF GUILT as a replacement. The band will perform in the same time slot originally allocated to SÓLSTAFIR.
UNDER THE DOOM will open its doors at 5:30 PM, with the first performances scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
Ticket holders who are no longer able to attend and wish to request a refund may do so from Monday, 28 September. Refund requests must be submitted through the venue or platform where the ticket was originally purchased and within a maximum period of five days, meaning no later than 2 October.
