Invicta Requiem Mass IX announces full line-up for 2026 edition

Invicta Requiem Mass will return for its ninth edition from December 3rd to the 5th 2026 in Válega, Ovar, Portugal. Headed by Signal Rex, the festival will bring together 13 bands and special guests for three days focused on underground black metal.

The announced line-up includes Finland’s Ride for Revenge, Myling, Hail Conjurer, Victimarium and Stormpyre; France’s Necroblood and Vomit Messiah; Belgium’s Solfatare; Austria’s Weathered Crest; and Spain’s Lucero de Alba. Portuguese bands Ventr and Empalamento will also perform, alongside Morgal.

The programme covers a range of approaches to black metal, from the primitive and ritualistic sound of Ride for Revenge to the black/death metal of Necroblood and the dissonant, melodic direction of Solfatare. The Portuguese contingent adds a local perspective to an international bill drawn from the underground scene.

The event begins with a warm-up day on Thursday, December 3rd, at the main venue. The main festival programme follows on Friday and Saturday. A separate, exclusive performance at the Old Chapel is reserved for holders of the special weekend ticket.

Weekend tickets have sold out, although a second tier of weekend passes and daily tickets have been made available subject to capacity. Thursday warm-up tickets are available exclusively at the door, subject to remaining space, and do not include access to the Old Chapel performance.

The festival continues Signal Rex’s focus on underground black metal, maintaining a programme centred on the genre rather than a broader commercial metal line-up.
