Ultimate Mosh of the Year IV brings annual feast of underground with Holocausto Canibal, Crucivore and Mangualde to Ferro Bar

Ultimate Mosh of the Year returns to Porto on December 26 2026 for its fourth edition, bringing three Portuguese extreme metal acts to Ferro Bar. The line-up features grindcore veterans Holocausto Canibal, death metal band Crucivore and Mangualde, whose music draws on black metal and mathcore.

Scheduled for 21:30, the event will close the year with a programme focused on extreme metal and the Portuguese underground scene.

The concert continues a series that has brought together different bands from Portugal’s heavier music community for an end-of-year event.

Formed in Porto in 1997, Holocausto Canibal have become one of the country’s best-known grindcore acts. Their music combines fast, abrasive guitar work, blast beats and extreme vocals, rooted in the more uncompromising traditions of grindcore and death metal. Across their career, the band have established an international presence within the extreme metal underground while remaining closely associated with the Portuguese scene.

Crucivore will also perform at Ferro Bar, with the band set to present material from their new album.

The line-up is completed by Mangualde, whose sound combines black metal and mathcore influences. Their music draws on contrasting approaches to rhythm and atmosphere, adding another strand of extreme music to the programme.

The fourth edition follows previous Ultimate Mosh of the Year events held in Porto, including the 2025 edition at Barracuda – Clube de Roque. The series has become an opportunity to bring together national acts from different branches of extreme metal at the end of the calendar year.
