Eindhoven Metal Meeting 2026 with a Extreme Metal Programme

Eindhoven Metal Meeting will return to Effenaar from 10 to 12 December 2026, once again transforming the Dutch city into one of Europe’s principal meeting points for extreme metal. The event will begin with its traditional warm-up show on Thursday, 10 December, before the main festival unfolds across 11 and 12 December with more than 30 bands performing on two stages. Maintaining the formula that has defined the festival for more than a decade, the programme brings together internationally recognised artists and emerging acts representing death metal, black metal, thrash, doom, grindcore and other branches of extreme music.

The 2026 edition once again reflects the diversity that has become synonymous with Eindhoven Metal Meeting. The line-up features Death Angel, Rotting Christ, Flotsam & Jetsam, The Crown, Legion of the Damned, Forteresse, Schammasch, Panzerfaust, Desaster, Groza, Nervosa, Dödsrit, Blood Fire Death and many more.
Beginning with the warm-up concert on 10 December and continuing throughout the weekend, the festival offers attendees a programme that balances established names with contemporary artists, reflecting both the legacy and ongoing evolution of the international extreme metal scene, extending the event with an Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, performing what has been announced as their farewell show in the Netherlands, alongside Dutch black metal veterans Cirith Gorgor, the rising black metal act Ultima Necat, and death metal newcomers Novelization. The warm-up has become a defining part of the Eindhoven Metal Meeting experience, offering attendees an exclusive opening night before the main festival unfolds across two days with more than thirty bands, while reinforcing the event’s longstanding commitment to showcasing both established names and emerging talent within the international extreme metal scene.

Since its inaugural edition in 2009, following the conclusion of Arnhem Metal Meeting, Eindhoven Metal Meeting has established itself as one of Europe’s most respected indoor festivals dedicated exclusively to extreme metal. Rather than pursuing large-scale expansion, the organisers have consistently prioritised carefully curated line-ups and an atmosphere that appeals to dedicated fans of the underground. The inclusion of the traditional warm-up show further enhances the festival experience, allowing audiences to enjoy three consecutive days of live music while reinforcing the sense of community that has become one of Eindhoven Metal Meeting’s defining characteristics.

Among this year’s leading attractions, Death Angel return as one of thrash metal’s most enduring and respected names. Formed in San Francisco in 1982, the band emerged during the second wave of the Bay Area thrash movement, earning widespread recognition through landmark releases such as The Ultra-Violence, Frolic Through the Park and Act III. After disbanding in the early 1990s, Death Angel reunited in 2001 and entered one of the most productive periods of their career, releasing critically acclaimed albums including The Art of Dying, The Evil Divide and Humanicide. Throughout more than four decades of activity, the band has maintained a distinctive balance between technical precision, memorable songwriting and relentless live performances. Their longevity and continued artistic consistency have secured Death Angel’s place among the defining bands of American thrash metal, making their appearance at Eindhoven Metal Meeting 2026 one of the festival’s most anticipated performances.
